10mmの薄いオーク材に切れ目を入れて曲げたオリジナルのスツールの黒塗装。
通常、切れ目のみで曲げると、残りの材料が薄くなり、どうしても強度が落ちてしまいます。そこで、その切れ目に小さなパーツをいれることで、格段に強度を向上させています。
もともと10mmと薄い板材に、大きな曲面加工を加えることで、さらにすっきり薄く見せた繊細なデザインにしています。
見た目はものすごく薄く華奢なイメージですが、組立後は踏み台のように昇降をして、スツールとしての強度確認をしています。

【こだわり】
薄い材や細い材を椅子の部材に使用するのは、強度の課題があり、この商品はちょっとした挑戦の気持ちでデザインしました。
10mmの薄い板に5mmの切れ目をいれて、そこに8.4°の角度をつけた台形（上底2.4mm下底5mm）のパーツをはめて剛性を上げています。

This original stool is made of 10mm thin oak wood bent by cutting a slit in the wood.
Normally, bending a stool with only a slit would make the rest of the material thinner, which would inevitably reduce the strength of the stool. By inserting small parts into the slits, the strength of the stool is dramatically improved.
By adding a large curved surface to the originally thin 10mm plate, we have created a delicate design that makes it look even thinner and sleeker.
Although the stool looks very thin and delicate, we have tested its strength as a stool by lifting it up and down like a step stool after assembling it.

We are very particular about this.
Using thin and slender materials for chair components is a challenge in terms of strength, so we designed this product as a bit of a challenge.
We made an 8.5mm slit in a thin 10mm board and fitted trapezoidal parts (top bottom 2.4mm, bottom bottom 4.5mm) angled at 6.7° into it to increase rigidity.
